Why yacht training through us?

We have guided monohulls and multihulls of various sizes over the years, in many areas of the world. As instructors, permanent skippers, on deliveries, regattas or team training. Much of what we needed for this, we could take from the training of the DSV (German Sailing Association) or the RYA, but only practice provides real security.

Do you get wet hands when you come to the port? Or when you sail out?

During our skipper trainings or assisted deliveries we pass on our practical experience to you, even if you already have a license in your pocket. It’s a training program that meets you where you are. If necessary, we practice harbour maneuvers and we’ll discuss them until you get the hang of it: Docking in a crosswind, casting off alongside from a gas station, working with the wheel effect, working with springs – you only need one line….

Or you go on a cruise and we practice procedures that are essential for safe navigation: Where do I get the best wind and wave information? What strategies do I choose for an upcoming offshore passage, taking into account weather conditions and tides (“passage planning”). How do I find my steering course? When to reef? Correct rigg trim. For our own safety, we know how to quickly teach safe yacht handling. We do this sometimes as sailing instructors, but much more often to find partners at sea in people willing to learn, on whom we can rely.
