We sail many yachts a year– and know their weaknesses and strengths…

In over 20 years as sailing professionals, we have been able to and have had to gain some knowledge about yachts. Because when we go on a trip with unknown yachts we are responsible for our crews and the ships. Accordingly, we check these in check before such a trip and also deal with technical issues again and again in the course of a passage. By now, we know typical characteristics of many yachtsand are aware of their neuralgic points. We make this expertise available to future owners as part of a purchase consultation. Not only do we inspect the condition of the materials and work through a technical checklist, but we also check the yacht from the point of view of its seaworthiness and a transfer trip, if possible with an extensive trial run. In doing so, we document possible minus points for the buyer, which he can bring in during the purchase negotiations in order to achieve a good price.

By order we have inspected, tested and evaluated a yacht. Subsequently, we accompanied the purchase negotiations on the side of our client. First, a thorough inspection of the deck, standing and running rigging, hardware, windlass, all hatches, windows, dinghy, outboard motor, etc. was performed. Below deck, the floorboards were removed to inspect keel bolts, stays, culverts and cable runs. We made a functional check of all systems: Generator, watermaker, air conditioning, gas system, electrical system, navigation equipment, VHF, autopilot, rudder, shaft. The engine was looked over and checked. The owner was asked about maintenance intervals, receipts and invoices for repairs and conversions were inspected and reviewed.

Prices for yachtPurchase advice and support

We travel in teams of two and can thus inspect a yacht more compactly and thoroughly in a shorter time . In addition to film and photo documentation, we perform a functional check of all systems and cross-check the equipment list. In addition, you will receive a report from us and an assessment of whether the price of the yacht is justified.

Our daily rate for a team of two is from 800€ net. We take advantage of favorable travel connections and strive to keep ancillary costs low. If it comes to a subsequent Yacht transferby us we offer you a favorable combination package.
